Advanced Features for Quantitative and Unconventional Seismic Interpretation

CALGARY, Alberta–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Geomodeling Technology Corp., a leading provider of seismic analysis and cross-scale modeling software for the upstream oil and gas industry, today announced release of AttributeStudio™ 7.2, its state-of-the-art seismic attribute interpretation software. AttributeStudio 7.2 includes neural network analysis for advanced reservoir property prediction and stimulated rock volume calculation from microseismic data.  The new features in AttributeStudio 7.2 provide advanced quantitative and unconventional seismic interpretation workflows for users on Microsoft Windows.

Using AttributeStudio 7.2, geoscientists can predict reservoir properties through non-linear seismic attribute and well log data correlation utilizing a neural network for generation of a predicted reservoir strata-grid.   For unconventional interpretation, stimulated rock volumes can be calculated from microseismic data through generation of geobodies, and then used for correlation and analysis with seismic attribute data.  Also included in this release of AttributeStudio is a new 3D seismic volume calculator, providing users with the capability to combine, manipulate and analyze multiple seismic volumes.

“Quantitative interpretation and analysis through the fusion of seismic and well log data is rapidly expanding and we are committed to providing our users with tools that keep them at the cutting-edge of oil and gas exploration” said Mark Klingbeil, Chief Executive Officer of Geomodeling Technology.  “The new features in AttributeStudio 7.2 demonstrate our continued focus on staying at the forefront of integrated seismic attribute generation, visualization, classification and interpretation.”
