Advanced Features for Quantitative and Unconventional Seismic Interpretation

CALGARY, Alberta–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Geomodeling Technology Corp., Geomodeling Technology Corp., a leading provider of seismic analysis and cross-scale modeling software for the upstream oil and gas industry, today announced release of AttributeStudio™ 7.1, its cutting-edge seismic attribute interpretation software. AttributeStudio 7.1 includes advanced tools for engineering and microseismic data analysis that extend the oil and gas industry’s most innovative suite of features for analysis of unconventional plays. With AttributeStudio 7.1, Geomodeling continues to set the standard for seismic and microseismic attribute generation, visualization, calibration and interpretation for Microsoft Windows desktops and laptops.

AttributeStudio 7.1 can import, visualize and analyze engineering data, including frac pressure, slurry flow rate, and proppant concentration, in conjunction with microseismic and seismic data. Time-lapse microseismic event displays in 3D are synchronized with engineering data charts, providing dynamic visualization for fracture pattern trends. Stimulated rock volumes can be also be calculated and displayed in 3D. These new features enhance AttributeStudio’s industry-leading unconventional interpretation workflow that includes microseismic event sampling, advanced seismic attribute correlation, well-log upscaling, and seismic-conditioned hydraulic fracture modeling.

This release also includes Spectral Decay, which can automatically generate Frequency Decay Reservoir Maps. This important new feature streamlines an important workflow from days to minutes that results in generation of direct hydrocarbon indicators for many gas and shale plays.

“Production from unconventional plays continues to grow at a phenomenal rate and the new microseismic and hydraulic fracture data analysis features in AttributeStudio 7.1 support our broad base of customers who are working at the leading-edge of oil and gas exploration,” said Mark Klingbeil, Chief Executive Officer of Geomodeling Technology. “We are committed to focusing our development efforts on providing advanced technology for unconventional oil and gas exploration in an easy-to-use, affordable package on Microsoft Windows.”
