SubsurfaceAI Inc. Launches 2024.2 with a Focus on Improving the User Experience with Advanced Data Connectivity and Enhanced Usability

Calgary, Alberta- The team subsurfaceAI Inc. is pleased to announce the release of subsurfaceAI 2024.2 for the energy and energy transition industries.  We are a company that listens to our customers, and this latest release provides new features and enhancements based on client feedback.  Following the successful release of subsurface 2024.1, this new version adds several exciting features and significant upgrades that will help users streamline their workflows and save a sizable amount of time.

The mission of subsurfaceAI inc. is to create user-friendly software that makes subsurface’ s team more efficient and effective. Your workflow will be more efficient, and additional time can be spent on the analysis.

With the 2024.2 release we are very proud to announce the addition of a SeisWare project import pipeline. This is our first iteration of the pipeline, and it includes the following data types to be moved from SeisWare to subsurfaceAI with one button-click.

  • Seismic data (2-D and 3-D surveys)
  • Well data (well header, well path, well tops, well zones, logs, and T-D curves)
  • 2-D and 3-D horizon interpretations
  • Culture data

Also, to improve user experience we have made a major enhancement for well tops, with a major change in the tree structure and top visibility control by selected wells or well group.

There are 13 new features added to the interpAI, a leading-edge AI infused seismic interpretation software that redefines the seismic interpretation process. Some of the highlights include:

  • Calculate AI probability volumes in 45 and 135 degrees away from inline when computing AI probability volume
  • A new algorithm to track fault surfaces from fault probability volumes and export fault sticks.
  • Lock and reserve AI server and add more server status indicator.
  • More easy-to-use tools assist in multi-facies labeling, training and prediction.
  • Project- based AI model and training label share management.
  • Support AI server with SQL server and Linux (Ubuntu 20.04).

Starting from subsurfaceAI 2024.2 release, we offer a new AI product: coreAI, which utilizes AI for automatic interpretation of sedimentary facies, bedding structure types and rock types of core photos. It can also predict core plug measurements, such as grain size, porosity and permeability from core photos.

The 2024.2 release includes a preview of rock physics modeling module. You can define rock physics templates (RPT) based on well data and selected rock physics models. Quantitative interpretations can be made based on RPT overlayed on a cross plot of seismic inversion volumes.

Also, we have made many enhancements to the unconventionalAI package with a big focus on the microseismic functionality, usability and performance. One of the exciting new features is the ability to group microseismic events by using unsupervised classification of user-defined input attributes.  Additionally, we now support and retrieve time series data from Honeywell PHD server, data R/W on SQL server and SQLITE.
