CALGARY, Alberta — Geomodeling Technology Corp., a leading provider of innovative software for the upstream oil and gas industry, will be demonstrating AVAZ Vector Visualization for fractured reservoir characterization at the upcoming SEG Annual Meeting and Exhibition, November 4-9 in Las Vegas, Nevada. AttributeStudio’s Vector Visualization for directional attributes highlights fracture patterns otherwise hidden in conventional seismic image displays. Geomodeling will also demonstrate fracture plane modeling for unconventional reservoirs using SBED, a powerful tool for lamina-scale modeling and simulation.

Visitors to the Geomodeling Booth (#450) will be able to see the industry’s most innovative suite of features for quantitative seismic analysis and interpretation for unconventional plays, including:  breakthrough workflows for correlating seismic attribute data with well logs, advanced tools for microseismic data analysis, seismic-conditioned hydraulic fracture modeling, time sequenced 3D engineering data display, and calculation of stimulated rock volumes from microseismic data.  AttributeStudio from Geomodeling enables users to move beyond simple display technology and see how microseismic data can be correlated with seismic attributes and well log upscaling can be applied for detailed fracture analysis in shale and tight rock plays.

At SEG 2012 geoscientists will also be able to see demonstrations of  a new version ReservoirStudio, showcasing advanced geologic modeling with greater stratigraphic detail than conventional geocellular models.
