Two Software Applications to Benefit from the Guidance of Experienced Professionals

CALGARY, Alberta–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Geomodeling Technology Corp., a leading provider of innovative software for the upstream oil and gas industry, today announced a new release of VisualVoxAt, its advanced seismic attribute analysis software. This release, VisualVoxAt 6.3, provides advanced tools that enable geophysicists to streamline seismic attribute generation workflows, rapidly identify gas-bearing reservoirs and move beyond conventional subsurface interpretation in their search for more oil and gas.

VisualVoxAt 6.3 contains new features including a Seismic Attribute Generation Workflow Manager, Sweetness, Principal Component Analysis for Multiple Volumes, a Continuous Wavelet Packet-like Transform for Spectral Decomposition, and a ground-breaking improvement in performance of Volume Curvature calculations. Other important improvements include new tools for interpretation, extensions for data import, and improved well and synthetic functionality.

“For this release of VisualVoxAt we listened carefully to our customers and developed features and enhancements to meet their requirements for advanced seismic analysis in an affordable package for Microsoft Windows.  We are committed to staying on the cutting edge of technology as demonstrated by our new algorithms for Spectral Decomposition and improvements in Volume Curvature performance,” said Mike Odell, Chief Executive Officer of Geomodeling Technology Corp.  “I think that the new drag-and-drop Attribute Workflow Manager is going to really help our users save time and support use of best practices across organizations for scenarios like deepwater turbidite channels and interpretation of tight gas systems.”
