subsurfaceAI 2025.1 Release

subsurfaceAI 2025.1 Release – Smoother SeisWare Integration & Smarter Workflows

April 15, 2025

Calgary, Alberta-We’re excited to announce the release of subsurfaceAI 2025.1, now available to all users. This release marks a significant leap in interoperability with SeisWare, empowering geoscientists with more seamless data exchange, expanded project database two-way connection capabilities, and intelligent workflow enhancements.

Enhanced Integration with SeisWare

SubsurfaceAI 2025.1 dramatically improves the way users work between subsurfaceAI and SeisWare projects without file import and export. New support for faults, grids, and raster images when reading from SeisWare projects — along with full project export capability covering seismic, wells, horizons, culture data, intervals, and more — makes collaboration and continuity between platforms faster and more efficient than ever.

We’ve also added new controls like area of interest filters, search functions, and SeisWare SEG-Y file export, helping users target the exact data they need.

New Features Across Key Modules

Multi-Scale Database

  • Read additional data types from SeisWare projects (faults, grids, rasters)
  • Export full SubsurfaceAI projects back into SeisWare projects
  • Apply filters and search during data exchange
  • Export to SeisWare SEG-Y format
  • Merge seismic volumes with shared geometry
  • Transfer seismic volumes across surveys or create new ones
  • Set datum when attaching ZGY files to 3D surveys

Integrated Visualization Environment

  • Record videos directly from visualization windows (3D, sections, base maps)
  • Set multiple “home” views for rapid navigation
  • Customize legend properties for continuous variables
  • Sync time/depth slices across surveys
  • Adjust visual spacing between well names and symbols

Well Log Data Analysis and Prediction

  • Add percentile-based normalization for well log analysis

AI for Seismic Interpretation

  • Merge multiple AI fault label sets into one
  • New “Test” button for verifying AI server settings

Stability, Performance, and Reliability

This release also includes a wide range of defect resolutions and optimizations that improve system responsiveness and robustness across all workflows. From visualization to AI interpretation, users will notice a smoother, more stable experience.
