Module 5: Geologic Correlation of Well Logs
Module 5 facilitates advanced geologic correlation of well logs, allowing users to interactively define correlation wells within 3-D windows and 2-D base maps. This module enables the definition and real-time editing of new well tops in well section windows, including the ability to flatten well tops and draw correlation lines. Additionally, users can define well formations by selecting well tops to represent the formation top and bottom, streamlining the process of geologic correlation across multiple data points.
Key Features
- Definition of Correlation Wells:
- Users have the capability to define correlation wells interactively, both in 3-D and 2-D base maps.
- Well Top Correlation:
- Users are empowered to define and edit new well tops directly within a dedicated well section window. This includes the ability to flatten well tops and draw correlation lines directly on well section windows. Furthermore, the positions of well tops can be dynamically updated in real-time across seismic and 3-D windows.
- Definition of Well Formations:
- Users can seamlessly define and edit well formations by selecting well tops that represent the top and bottom boundaries of each formation.
